Every pair is sealed with a professional clear acrylic top coat to protect against everyday wear. That said, these shoes live on the line between art piece and footwear — some chipping over time, especially on painted rubber soles, is normal with regular use. Many customers treat them as a display piece or wear them for special occasions to keep them looking their best.
For non-painted areas (like the bottom sole), mild soap and water is fine. If painted areas get dirty, gently wipe with water only — no chemicals, bleach, or harsh cleaners, as these can strip the paint and sealant.
